Doris has been teaching individuals with special needs for 27 years. She retired from the New Mexico School for the Deaf in June 2013 after 24 years of working with multiply disabled deaf individuals ranging from 6 - 22 years of age. She has two MA degrees, one in Deaf Education and the other in Visual Impairment, and is also a specialist in Special Needs. She is the daughter of two Deaf adults and a legal guardian of a Deaf Down Syndrome individuals. It was her dream to open this business when her two daughters had no where to go during the day that would provide the necessary communication needs for them to be included in meaningful day activities. She is very excited for this business to be open and she can not wait to meet any new individual who wants to attend.
Lead Counselor/Job Couch
Lowline is going on her 4th year working with multiply disabled individuals. She is a very unique and spontaneous individual. She is always upbeat and helps keep spirits up. The clients say she is great at making them smile, helps with their projects and is a great listener. She is a wonderful addition to our staff and we hope she is here for MANY more years to come!!!
Direct Support Staff
Erik has worked in multiple day programs, was a teacher at some D.D. schools, and residential. He is currently in school for Counseling at Southwestern College in Santa Fe with the interest in individuals with high risk behavior. Also interested in Family Systems and how to help families function more effectively. Erik is excited to gain the experience in working with individuals with DD/ID.
